Melissa gave birth to a beautiful baby girl- Kate Reagan Holbrook - Wednesday, June 18 at 1242 pm at LDS Hospital. Unfortunately Justin was in Officers Training for the Air Force in Alabama and they wouldn't let him come to the delivery. So, I was the stand-in labor coach on the right side, his mother Lori was the coach on the left side ( she kept the cell phone on talking to Justin during the delivery), and Michelle was video taping the whole thing. Ava ( Michelle's 6 month old daughter) sat in her stroller in the corner playing with a ball and smiling at Grandma the whole time. Even though I've given birth to 6 children and seen some babies born while I was in nursing school there is nothing better than seeing one of my daughters give birth. Of course I had to count her fingers and toes and make sure everything was okay. She is perfect in every way- weighed 6 lbs. 5 ozs. and has her dad's face and her mother's body. All of my girls weighed 6 plus pounds at birth and all of Justin's family weighed 8 plus pounds at birth. She also has more hair than any of us have ever had at birth.
